Theophostic Prayer Ministry (TPM) is "intentional and focused prayer with the desired outcome of an authentic encounter with the presence of Christ, resulting in mind renewal and subsequent transformed life." The direction and flow of the ministry session is completely dependent upon the ministry recipent's free will choices and the leadership of the Holy Spirit and never guided or directed by the facilitator.
Theophostics is not New Age (Theosophy), Recovery Memory Therapy (RMT), Exposure Therapy, or any other non-Christian/Biblical form of helping people.
TPM is focused on people's identifying the lies they believe that are causing painful emotions and replacing these lies with the Lord's truth. TPM teaches that God desires we walk in His truth and thereby continually know the peace of Christ since peace follows truth. The Word of God has promised that the Lord of peace Himself will grant us peace in every circumstance. (2 Thess. 3:16) If we are not experiencing the peace of Christ, we are believing something contrary to peace.
