children's ministry

Grapevine houses our youngest friends, providing teaching about who God is and how we worship him for children from newborn through sixth grade. The kids meet with their teachers who provide age appropriate activities and teaching. Our theme verse for Grapevine is Psalm 8:2: "From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger."
We believe that in training our kids in who and how to worship, we will introduce them to a life in relationship with Jesus from the ground up. And because we love kids, we provide a fun, safe environment for them to grow in.

At Grace Vineyard we treasure our children as God's gifts to us. In our GKI (Grapevine Kids Incorporated), from our babies to our sixth graders our mission is "to help our children love and serve Jesus for a lifetime." What's exciting is that this mission is happening. We have young adults who have grown through our program and are now serving the Lord all over the world. Our kids go on short term mission trips to Reynosa, Mexico. They serve in our community and in our church making great contributions to furthering the kingdom of God in Arlington. They are amazing.
We have a dedicated team of teachers and directors who are deeply committed to praying for our children and communicating by example and word what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
Seventeen years ago Dr. James Dobson wrote his landmark book Children At Risk. In it he lists several crucial actions churches and parents must take toward the next generations in America. The most important was this: "We should lead our children into an early and deeply meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ." This most important objective we take seriously and are committed to accomplishing.
Please take one of our brochures found in different areas of our GKI classrooms for more information. In these brochures you will discover ways you can get connected and participate in teaching, helping or becoming a parent who is even more effective at leading your children into "a deeply meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ."
