I love the Seek Course. Except it's not really a Seek Course like we planned it. We thought the Alpha Course was too British and though it was really good at helping people who have little or not understanding of what Christianity is about, it's language, jokes, metaphors etc  are in British English and we speak American. So we found SEEK, an Alpha formated course from the Vineyard Church in Cambridge, Mass., developed by their pastor, Dave Smeltzer. Dave is great, but his audience is Harvard and MIT. Our attenders didn't go to Harvard or MIT. But here's the deal, it didn't matter! The people who are coming are being loved to life in Jesus! Last night we jettisoned the entire video, (sorry Dave), and talked about how and why God does miracles. Then we went around the table and asked the people to share a miracle they want to ask God to do for them or someone else. One attender said, "I already got my miracle. I am free of drugs!" We ashed if someone else needed one. We prayed for his girl friend who is still addicted. We are expecting a miracle.

Someone else asked for the miracle of the affect of their sins and mistakes NOT falling on her kids like they did on her. She cried out to God with tears and we prayed for that merciful miracle to come. Then she asked us to pray for a young man who had a demon cast of him on Easter Sunday afternoon to be miraculously filled with the Holy Spirit so that no other demons would be able to come in to him. 

We prayed for him and the Holy Spirit was sooo gentle and sweet. The Holy Spirit just rained on him like a sweet spring shower, quiet and calm but deep and powerful. Prophetic words were spoken over him by the Seek leader, Diane and he was filled!

If we open our hearts to share Jesus with people, the Holy Spirit will come. It doesen't matter that much what "tools" you use, what matters most is the love of Jesus compelling you and the Holy Spirit working through you. He knows how to get to people. All you have to do is be available to Him and follow His lead.
